I have always incorporated music, games and dancing in all my party packages, however this year I have introduced children’s disco as a package. Every child loves to showcase off their new dance moves on the dance floor and I love seeing the new ‘trends’ that hit the floor. One year it’s been break dancing on the dance floor, knee sliding, always lots of twirling and now most recently the “floss” has made an appearance ( which i have mastered!)
My disco parties can be tailored to your child’s personal choice of music, however outrageous or wild you think it is. I always love to have requests from the birthday child and see their personality through their choice of music. I have all the classic tunes on my playlist which the children love, some old school tunes like Jackson five, YMCA, macarena, Limbo, but I also throw in the much loved modern songs like BABY SHARK and CRAZY FROG (sorry)!!!
The disco 2 hour package includes:
A little face painting/glitter eye design at the start with the music playing, (15/20 mins) this allows me a chance to get to know the children a little better, it gives the children a chance to let loose on the dance floor with their friends and also this time allows for late arrivals to the party so they don’t miss anything.
Then we have a dance to the music, (40/45 mins) this is classic ‘disco’ mode where I play the latest popular music, combined with any request your child may have and some golden oldies.
This takes us up to food and happy birthday cake time, I usually allow 30 mins for the children to have some food and a toilet break. However, this is never set in stone, as some children like to graze, some are not interested or some take a little longer.
After we have sung happy birthday and made wishes over the candles, it’s party games time. (25mins) I play a combination of classic party games like musical statues, best dancer and musical bumps and I throw in a couple of my favourite games. I supply little haribo sweets as prizes.
The last five minutes of the package is filled with music, bubbles and balloon swords. Each child goes home with a balloon sword, which is perfect for popping bubbles or chasing your friends with.
The package is a fun filled and energetic package which is suitable for a mix of ages.
